Politico announced Wednesday the launch of “Decoded by Politico,” a new global technology policy initiative focused on the intersection of technology, policy and power.
It will draw on reporting of nearly 50 journalists across the world’s key capitals — from Washington to Sacramento, London to Brussels, and beyond — narrating how tech policy is shaping the entire economy. A daily newsletter will launch Oct. 5. A reoccurring conference “Decoded Summits” begins Wednesday in Washington.
“Decoded is about technologies more powerful than anything humanity has ever experienced – and the challenges those technologies pose to policymakers. We firmly believe this is the most consequential story of our lifetimes,” said Politico global editor-in-chief Jonathan Greenberger in a statement.
Christopher Cadelago has been named executive editor for global technology and California, in partnership with Laura Greenhalgh in Brussels and Emma Anderson in California.
The newsletter will be authored by Brendan Bordelon, Calder McHugh, Christine Mui and Sam Sutton, and edited by Anderson and John Hewitt Jones in Washington.
