Politico hires Reorg’s Loeffler to run its pro business

Politico has hired Rachel Loeffler as executive vice president and general manager for professional business.

She will be responsible for managing and developing the professional products and B2B subscription services offered such as Politico Pro, E&E News and Agency IQ.

She will start Nov. 15.

“I am thrilled to join Politico in this dynamic moment, with a team that has built such a strong foundation for growth in Politico’s professional subscription business,” said Loeffler in a statement. “The opportunities to serve and empower our clients in a manner that propels them to new levels of insight and growth are right before us, and I look forward to working with the incredible team at Politico to seize them.”

Loeffler comes to Politico from Reorg, where she served as the organization’s chief product officer.

In this role, she launched new product lines, drove a refined the approach to go-to-market execution, and revamped product pricing and packaging – all of which contributed to doubling revenue. Prior to Reorg, she held various leadership roles at S&P Global Market Intelligence, SNL Financial and Updater.

He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
