Today, we’re excited to announce another addition: Aiden Reiter, who will join us this month from the Financial Times to chronicle the intersection of Wall Street and Washington with a focus on how the financial industry and its big personalities are navigating this moment.
At the FT, Aiden co-wrote the Unhedged markets and finance newsletter and regularly appeared on the Unhedged podcast, bringing a strong analytical voice and sharp reported insights to his work across platforms. He also reported on the UK and EU economies and wrote editorial board opinions for the paper.
Aiden’s arrival is the latest step in our efforts to give readers sharp insight into how politics and policy are reshaping financial markets, industries and global stability. Yasmin Khorram, deeply sourced in the tech industry from her time at Yahoo! Finance and CNBC, joined us in September to cover this beat from California. Editor David Harrison, a veteran of the Wall Street Journal and the World Bank, came on board in July. Sam Sutton and Victoria Guida launched the project this summer with special Friday editions of Morning Money — Morning Money: Capital Risk. This effort already spans our entire policy newsroom, with contributions from Energy, Health Care and others.
Aiden graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with degrees from its Wharton School of Business and College of Arts and Sciences. Originally from the New Haven, CT, area, Aiden is fluent in Mandarin. Before his career in journalism, he worked in non-profit consulting.
