We’re excited to welcome Marcia Brown to POLITICO, where she’ll join the agriculture team to cover key agencies including USDA and FDA, the economics of agriculture policy and the intersection of farming and climate change.

Marcia is joining us from The Capitol Forum, where she covered agriculture and market concentration, breaking news on a poultry merger and the early steps of an FTC inquiry into John Deere’s repair restrictions. Previously, she worked as a writing fellow for The American Prospect, covering immigration, labor, and criminal justice. She has also covered regulatory policy and American courts for outlets including The Intercept, The Washington Monthly and The New Republic.

Marcia is a graduate of Princeton University, where she served as editor-in-chief of The Daily Princetonian. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, propagating plants, running in the District, and car camping. A member of Investigative Reporters and Editors (IRE), she is originally from Ohio.
