Politico managing editor Sudeep Reddy sent out the following on Wednesday:
We’re thrilled to welcome Adam Behsudi back to the POLITICO newsroom, guiding coverage across a wide range of beats as news editor on our Economy & Business team.
Adam returns to POLITICO after nearly two years at the International Monetary Fund, where he immersed himself in global economic issues and shaped content for the organization’s editorial platforms. The role included writing on the biggest forces shaping our world today, wrangling copy of Nobel laureates and editing other distinguished contributors as a senior editor for the IMF’s Finance & Development magazine. Adam spent the previous seven years at POLITICO, where he helped launch our trade coverage and chronicled the dramatic changes in U.S. trade policy between the Obama and Trump administrations. He previously worked as a reporter at Inside U.S. Trade and newspapers in Maryland and North Carolina.
Born in Texas and raised in Maryland, Adam is a proud Mizzou grad. He still calls Maryland home, where he lives with his wife and 8-year-old son. He likes spending time in the great outdoors where he prefers mountains to oceans, aspires to be a middling cyclist and looks forward to returning to world travel. During the pandemic, Adam took up fishing (both on a fly and spinning rod). In the coming week, you can find him on a creek in western Maryland trying to catch (and release) some elusive trout and more often getting his line tangled in trees.
Adam gets started on March 1. Please join us in welcoming him back to POLITICO and congratulating him on his new role.
