Pensions & Investments names new publisher

Nikki Pirello

Nikki Pirrello has been promoted to president and publisher of Pensions & Investments, after previously holding the title of chief operating officer.

A story on its website states, “Ms. Pirrello, who is based in New York, was promoted to COO for the brand in 2020. As COO, she led its business operations and strategy globally, which included oversight of events, marketing, sales, custom content and research. Her role will expand to lead editorial and digital, and work closely with global asset managers and asset owners to develop solutions to engage the brand’s audience and further the mission of providing a secure retirement for participants and members around the world.

Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
