Pensions & Investments names Ablan its editor in chief

Jennifer Ablan

Jennifer Ablan has been named editor in chief and chief content officer of Pensions & Investments, a Crain Communications publication.

She had been U.S. assistant managing editor for the Financial Times.

“Jennifer’s experience and digital journalism skills will be a great asset to our brand and company and will accelerate our pace of growth by launching new products,” said Chris Battaglia, the publisher, in a statement.

Ablan had been a long-time editor of U.S. investments at Reuters before joining the FT as its U.S. markets editor in 2019.

Previously, she spent more than five years at Barron’s magazine as a staff writer/columnist, and two years at Dow Jones Newswires as a reporter.

Ablan received the 2011 Rising Star award from the Women’s Bond Club, and has been named one of Business Insider’s “125 most important finance people you have to follow” on Twitter.

Ablan received a B.A. in journalism and political science from the University of Hawaii.
