Payne joins Politico as health care reporter

Daniel Payne

Daniel Payne has moved into a full-time role as a health care reporter at Politico.

Prior to joining Politico in 2019 as a fellow, Payne was executive editor at The DeSoto Times-Tribune, a locally owned community paper in DeSoto County.

He has also reported for The Lens Collective in The Mississippi Delta and was an editorial intern at Globe Post Media in Washington.

Payne earned his bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Mississippi, where he was editor-in-chief of the student paper.
