Payload hires Fernholz as senior space reporter

Tim Fernholz

Payload has hired Tim Fernholz as its senior space reporter.

Fernholz had been a senior reporter covering space, economics and politics at Quartz before leaving in November. He is the author of “Rocket Billionaires: Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos and the New Space Race.”

Fernholz has been with Quartz for more than 11 years. Previously, he was a correspondent at the National Journal and a staff writer at The American Prospect.

Fernholz has a B.A. from Georgetown University.
