Mario Parker has been tapped by Bloomberg News to helm its newly merged White House and politics team in Washington.
He previously was in charge of Bloomberg Politics coverage and had been a White House reporter at Bloomberg for two years.
Parker has been with Bloomberg for more than 16 years. Previously, he covered agriculture, energy, breaking news and the nexus between the Midwest and Washington policy. He has also served as a general assignment reporter, covering breaking news nationally and in Washington D.C.
Parker has received numerous awards and honors and holds a master’s degree in journalism from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
