Kristen Painter has been named the business editor of the Minneapolis Star Tribune.
Painter has worked as a reporter and editor for the Star Tribune’s business team for a decade and most recently was deputy business editor, responsible for coverage of food, agriculture, health care, medical technology and business news analysis.
She previously worked for the Denver Post’s business and metro news departments.
She has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and a master’s degree in journalism from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
