Jeremy Owens
Longtime business journalist Jeremy Owens has been named editor in chief of the San Francisco Business Times.
He takes over for Jim Gardner, who announced his retirement earlier this year. Owens will start April 14.
Owens previously was the tech editor and San Francisco bureau chief at MarketWatch.com, before leaving earlier this year. He had been with the financial website for nearly 10 years.
Owens was previously with the San Jose Mercury News as online breaking news editor focused on business and technology coverage. He also worked at The Argus in Fremont, California, as a news editor.
Owens is a graduate of the University of Georgia.
