Orlando Business Journal editor Cindy Barth plans to retire at the end of the year.

Business Journal managing editor Susan Lundine writes, “Among her many accomplishments while at OBJ, Barth helped initiate the Women Who Mean Business awards program and the Community Impact program, and guided the newspaper in winning several national Best in Business Awards from the Society for Advancing Business Editing and Writing, as well as dozens of other state and regional awards. She also has been the recipient of many journalism awards for her own writing.

“Barth has agreed to serve in a consulting role for a few months into 2023 as needed for the transition for a new editor-in-chief. A search for her successor will begin immediately, said OBJ Market President Donna Dyson.

“‘This is a happy, yet sad, time for OBJ,’ said Dyson. ‘We are excited for Cindy and grateful for her 30 years of commitment to OBJ, but we will miss her greatly.'”
