Oregonian’s Kish wins National Headliner Award for biz reporting

Matthew Kish, a business reporter for The Oregonian in Portland, won the National Headliner Award for business news coverage or commentary.

Kish won for “The Nike Case.”

The judges wrote, “Oregonian reporter Matthew Kish’s investigation of Nike’s allegedly toxic workplace combines strong reporting with a compelling personal profile that brings readers inside one of the world’s most influential companies.”

Founded in 1934 by the Press Club of Atlantic City, the National Headliner Awards program is one of the oldest and largest annual contests recognizing journalistic excellence.
