O’Brien leaves Money for new opportunity

Elizabeth O’Brien

Elizabeth O’Brien, a deputy editor at Money, left the publication last week for a new opportunity starting in June.

She oversaw retirement coverage and wrote the twice-weekly Retire with Money newsletter. Previously, she covered retirement and health care for MarketWatch.

She began her journalism career covering the aftermath of 9/11 in Lower Manhattan for a local weekly newspaper and has a bachelor’s degree from Brown University and a masters in journalism from Columbia University.

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
