Michael O'Boyle
Sally Bakewell, U.S. finance team leader at Bloomberg News, sent out the following on Wednesday:
Hi all,
We’re delighted to announce that Michael O’Boyle will be joining our team as Mexican finance reporter, starting in January.
Michael brings a wealth of knowledge of Mexico’s financial markets, having broken news on everything from the country’s expanding pool of billionaires, its proliferating fintechs, its IPO market, bond sales, the fluctuating Peso and of course the trials and tribulations of Citi’s Banamex unit.
A native of Nebraska, Mike has been in Mexico for 23 years, with stints in Variety, NPR, Reuters and since 2019, Bloomberg’s stocks team and the emerging markets Latam team.
When he isn’t chasing a scoop, he can be seen walking around the neighborhood with his two dogs Hagen and Wile (picture attached).
Welcome Michael!
Thanks all,
Sally
