Sam Whitney has been hired by the New York Times Opinion as an art director with the design team.
Previously, he was a senior designer at Wired in San Francisco, where he designed, illustrated and art directed for its print pages and website. Whitney’s conceptual storytelling talent has been recognized by AIGA and the Society of Publication Designers.
He received his bachelor of fine arts from Syracuse University, majoring in communication design with a minor in policy studies.
