The following excerpt was sent out from The New York Times’ director of audio Paula Szuchman:

Susan M. Lee comes to The Times as a researcher and fact-checker on “The Daily.” Most recently, she was a digital editor with “Marketplace” from American Public Media and an assigning editor for a media startup. Additionally, she has been a freelance fact-checker for The New York Times Licensing Group’s licensed magazine Turning Points and assisted with editorial duties associated with its numerous products and partnerships, initially as an editorial assistant in 2010.

Besides her roles as a researcher and fact-checker, she has served as a longtime facilitator and a special projects producer for the oral history project StoryCorps.

She attended the University of Michigan and Columbia University School of Journalism, and began her career as a reporter at the Queens Tribune.

He began his career in the Houston Public Media newsroom reporting and producing for local, regional and national radio programs. He later produced the daily news podcast “What Next” at Slate and most recently produced a forthcoming investigative podcast series at Bloomberg.

Nell Gallogly

Nell Gallogly joins the newsroom audio audience team as a news assistant based out of the New York office.
