Tony Romm
New York Times business editor Ellen Pollock sent out the following on Monday:
We are thrilled to announce that Tony Romm will be joining The Times as our new economic policy correspondent.
This is a familiar role for Tony, who covered economic policy at The Washington Post, where he broke numerous stories during both the Biden and first Trump administration. He also put together The Post’s Covid Money Trail series, which included tons of scoops on federal spending.
Tony joined The Post in 2018 as a technology policy reporter and previously covered that topic at Politico and Recode, a tech business news site owned by Vox Media.
Please welcome him when he starts on March 10.
