New York Times Audio redefined what a daily news story could be when it launched “The Daily” in 2017. Now we’re expanding our daily news report to include a new show: “The Headlines.” It shares the same DNA as “The Daily,” in that it features Times reporters who span the globe, have unmatched expertise, and help listeners understand the world. But where “The Daily” takes on one big story, “The Headlines” covers three top stories in about 10 minutes.
The show is hosted by Annie Correal, a veteran Times journalist from the Metro desk who was among the first reporters to collaborate with “The Daily.” “The Headlines” team is led by Larissa Anderson, who was a founding editor of “The Daily” and other New York Times Audio series including 1619, Rabbit Hole and Day X. The show is edited by Dave Shaw, Tracy Mumford, Jessica Metzger, Jarrard Cole and produced by Robert Jimison, Ian Stewart, Emily Lang and Eli Cohen.
“The Headlines” can be heard on New York Times Audio, a new iOS app for news subscribers.
