Nikkei Asia promotes Sharp to politics and economics news editor

Nikkei Asia has tapped Andy Sharp as politics and economics news editor.

Recently, Sharp served as deputy politics and economics editor.

Before that, Sharp worked at Bloomberg News as an economy reporter and then a politics editor for Japan and the Koreas. He was copy editor at Nikkei and worked freelance.

Sharp graduated from Sheffield Hallam University.
