Nikkei Asia promotes Regalado to Bangkok correspondent

Nikkei Asia has tapped Francesca Regalado as Bangkok correspondent.

Previously, she served as Tokyo reporter covering the Tokyo Olympics, foreign affairs, the pandemic in Japan, cryptocurrencies, and climate change.

She has also worked as an economics reporter, covering the U.S. Treasury Department, the Federal Reserve, and the International Monetary Fund for Yomiuri Shimbun, Japan’s largest daily. She also founded TheDiplomaticEnvoy.com, transitioning a monthly newspaper to an online platform.

She has also interned at the New York Times.

Regalado has a B.S. from Seton Hall University and a M.S. from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
