NewsNation has appointed Connell McShane host of the afternoon weekday program “NewsNation Now” from 3-5 p.m. ET. He begins Sept. 25.
Commenting on his new role, McShane said:
“The mission statement at NewsNation is to be a source of unbiased news coverage, which is what I’ve always tried to be. This seems like a perfect match, and I can’t wait to get started.”
Recently, he was a journalist at Fox Business Network, where he worked for more than a decade.
He has also worked at Bloomberg Television as an anchor and reporter with “Evening Edition,” “On the Markets” and “Marketweek.” He also reported live from the New York Stock Exchange and NASDAQ.
He also worked at Bloomberg Radio, where he co-anchored “The First Word,” and interned at the Yankees Radio Network.
McShane graduated from Fordham University. While studying there, he worked as a sports broadcaster at the university-owned radio station WFUV FM 90.7.
