New KQED and Axios editors, UK moves from Independent, Times, Reach plc, Sky News

It’s been a busy day for prominent UK media outlets, as they announce a slew of hires and promotions. KQED and Axios have named new editors, and The NY Times has also made five promotions in its Opinion section, while naming three to its latest investigations fellowship cohort.
