Chloe Melas will join the business and technology team at NBC News as an entertainment correspondent to cover the intersection of entertainment, business and culture.
She will be based in New York and will report for all platforms of NBC News, including Digital, and MSNBC.
Melas begins on Aug. 21.
Recently, she was an entertainment reporter at CNN, where she has worked for seven years. She launched the entertainment site HollywoodLife, under Penske Media Corp., where she served as the site’s senior reporter. She was co-host of entertainment providers VH1’s daily morning TV entertainment news show.
Previously, she worked at CNN from October 2008 to September 2009 as a news assistant.
Melas has a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism from Auburn University.
