
Janelle Rodriguez, executive producer of NBC News programming, sent the below note to staff regarding the hire of Kerrie Wudyka as executive producer of business journalist Christine Romans’ new show launching this summer on NBC News NOW:
Please join me in welcoming Kerrie Wudyka as Executive Producer of Christine Romans’ new show, launching this summer. She will begin in this role tomorrow.
Kerrie comes to NBC News from MS Now, spending more than a decade producing live breaking national news coverage, political reporting and special programming. She most recently served as Executive Producer of MSNBC’s Ana Cabrera Reports, where she oversaw the editorial vision and live execution of more than 10 hours of coverage each week.
Previously, Kerrie was Senior Producer and Field Producer for MSNBC Live with Katy Tur, where she helped lead coverage of the 2020 Presidential Election and the COVID-19 pandemic. She has also produced in the field including coverage of the Paris terror attacks, Brussels bombings and San Bernardino shooting.
Karen began her journalism career in local news, first at WBOC-TV in Salisbury, Maryland and later as Executive Producer at WFSB-TV in Hartford, Connecticut.
Her work has been recognized with an Edward R. Murrow Award for coverage of the January 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol.
