Mark Schoeff
Mark Schoeff Jr. has been sworn in as the 119th President of the National Press Club.
Schoeff is a reporter at CQ Roll Call, where he covers legislation and regulations affecting financial services. He joined the publication in June 2024 after more than a decade at InvestmentNews, where he served as a senior reporter covering Washington and authored the award-winning D.C. Insider column.
His career also includes nearly five years as Washington correspondent for Workforce Management and more than two decades contributing to Howey Politics Indiana.
Earlier in his career, Schoeff served as director of external relations at the Center for Strategic and International Studies and as press secretary for former Sen. Richard Lugar of Indiana.
After growing up in Fort Wayne, Indiana, he began his journalism career in New York City, including a role as managing editor of a community newspaper in Manhattan. He also wrote for the Fort Wayne News-Sentinel sports desk while in high school and college.
