Silvia Killingsworth, the Americas news director, and Caroline Gage, the head of Americas editorial, sent out the following to the Bloomberg News staff:
Dear all,
We’re delighted to announce that Pratish Narayanan becomes executive editor of the editing hub in the Americas. Pratish has been managing editor of the news desk for the past two years, and prior to that he was team leader for personal finance. Before that, he was a TL for energy and oil trading for nearly six years in Singapore, where he also worked as an energy markets reporter. Before joining Bloomberg in 2010, he reported for Reuters in India.
Pratish is a tremendous editor with a careful eye and an unmatched talent for headlines that cut right to the chase. From the news desk, he was able to work across beats and and teams to elevate our best work, and to help teams figure out how best to reach readers. In his new role, Pratish will re-stock the hub with strong editing talent, building a team that works hand in glove with the news desk to ensure that our biggest and most read stories are clear, concise and impactful.
We will post for a managing editor on the news desk shortly. Please join us in congratulating Pratish!
