Morning Brew launches show on earnings for regular investors

Morning Brew has launched “After Earnings,” a weekly show offering retail investors a look at the earnings of public companies and the executives who lead them.

The show is co-hosted by Austin Hankwitz and Katie Perry.

“Collectively, smaller scale investors have shown themselves to be a force to be reckoned with in recent years, and there is a huge opportunity in better engaging with them,” said Morning Brew chief content officer Devin Emery in a statement. “We believe that bringing the executive post-earnings conversations that have traditionally been reserved for analysts and hedge fund managers to retail investors.

Morning Brew’s partner in the show is Stakeholder Labs.

After Earnings debut interviews feature Celsius Holdings CEO John Fieldly, Bark CEO Matt Meeker and Sprout Social’s President Ryan Barretto.

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
