Morning Brew hires Crimmins to cover climate tech

Morning Brew has hired Tricia Crimmins to cover climate tech.

She has been at The Daily Dot as a senior reporter. Crimmins joined in June 2021 as a reporter to write assigned news hits for the IRL section, covering TikTok, Twitter and Instagram, and to pitch and write news features.

She is part of the adjunct faculty at Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism and has interned and freelanced for Moment Magazine. She was an entertainment editorial fellow at Mashable and interned at Mic and the U.S. House of Representatives.

Crimmins has a bachelor’s degree from Bates College in Maine and a master’s degree from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
