MLex hires Budryk to cover trade

Zack Budryk

MLex has hired Zack Budryk to cover the trade beat.

He has been an energy and environment reporter from The Hill with a special focus on the historical context of environmental issues, climate and environment-related legal battles and the effects of climate and environmental disasters on frontline communities.

Budryk also co-wrote The Hill’s daily Overnight Energy & Environment newsletter.

He graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2012 and have spent the time since in the DC area. In addition to his work with The Hill, his writing has appeared in The Washington Post, USA Today and Teen Vogue.

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
