MLex managing editor for Europe Kait Bolongaro sent out the following on Monday:
Hello folks,
We are pleased to announce that Luca Bertuzzi has joined MLex as our Senior AI Correspondent in Brussels.
Luca brings his expertise in covering digital policy and EU affairs after serving as an editor at Euractiv since April 2021. He has worked in Brussels and London for nearly a decade, including as a freelance journalist and as a consultant. He studied at the Università di Bologna and the London School of Economics.
He has gained a reputation for being consistently ahead of the competition covering the AI Act over the past two years, and is a recognized expert on artificial intelligence regulation. His work on the AI Act won the Europe AI Policy Leader Award earlier this year.
He will be an essential part of MLex’s new team of reporters who will deliver exclusive news and analysis of the fast-moving policy and technological developments in the AI sector. He will use his expertise to lead our artificial intelligence coverage in Europe, while playing a senior role in guiding MLex’s coverage of the global story of artificial intelligence.
Luca will report to Managing Editor for Europe Kait Bolongaro as part of Global Chief Correspondent Matthew Newman’s broader Europe tech team.
Please join us in welcoming Luca.
