MIT Technology Review has hired Protocol reporter Zeyi Yang to cover China and East Asia.
He will start in April.
Yang has been working at Protocol since January 2021. Yang had been a reporting fellow at Rest of World since June 2020, reporting on startups, entrepreneurs and other topics.
He also has freelanced for the South China Morning Post, Nikkei Asian Review and other publications. And he has brokered and interpreted interviews with Wuhan locals for reporters at other publications.
Yang is a graduate of Peking University and holds a master’s degree in journalism and international affairs from Columbia University.
