MIT Technology Review appoints Arieff editorial director of print

Allison Arieff

Allison Arieff will be joining MIT Technology Review as editorial director of print.

She was previously director of communication at Replica in Oakland, California.

Before that, she was a senior editor at City Monitor and has also taught at the College of Environmental Design at Cal-Berkeley. She was also an editorial director at SPUR and a contributing opinion writer at The New York Times.

She was also the founding editor and editor-in-chief of Dwell Magazine in San Francisco. Her bylines have also appeared in Wired, City Lab and California Sunday among others.

Arieff was honored with the 2018 Steven Heller Award for Cultural Commentary. She graduated from the University of California, Davis.
