She is a reporter for The Journal’s finance bureau in New York, where she covers financial markets with a focus on U.S. stocks. She also reports on individual investors and the platforms they use, including Robinhood, Charles Schwab and E*Trade from Morgan Stanley.
Miao previously covered markets and investing for CNBC. Her work has won awards from the Asian American Journalists Association and the DeWitt Wallace Center for Media and Democracy.
She graduated summa cum laude from Duke University and studied public policy.
