McKay joins Morning Brew as senior reporter

Tom McKay

Morning Brew has tapped Tom McKay as a senior reporter.

In his new role, he will help launch an IT and cybersecurity newsletter.

He joins from Gizmodo, where he was a staff writer covering the intersection of tech and politics, online extremism, and tech policy on issues ranging from cryptocurrency to cybersecurity. He was also a staff writer for politics at Mic.

His work has also appeared in Yahoo News, AOL, HuffPo, Business Insider and more.

McKay has a B.A. from New College of Florida.
