Dan McGinn has been named the new editor of Harvard Business Review magazine.
He succeeds Amy Bernstein, who became editor in chief of HBR in February.
For the past five years, McGinn has served as executive editor, overseeing the magazine’s feature well and the team that produces it. He joined HBR 15 years ago as a senior editor and also co-hosted the “Dear HBR:” podcast throughout its run.
Before HBR, McGinn was a reporter, bureau chief, national correspondent, and senior editor at Newsweek. He is the author of two books, including “Psyched Up: How the Science of Mental Preparation Can Help You Succeed.”
