Tyler Mathisen, longtime co-anchor of CNBC’s “Power Lunch,” is launching with a podcast called “PowerCast with Tyler Mathisen.”
The program debuts Sept. 23.
Each monthly episode features insights from market strategists, portfolio managers, and technology developers leveraging artificial intelligence to create platforms that can sift through oceans of data to identify investment opportunities – and pitfalls – in real time.
“PowerCast brings something new to the world of finance podcasts: an in-depth exploration of how people and technology together can unlock better investment outcomes,” Mathisen said in a statement. “Whether you’re managing billions or building a retirement portfolio, AI is poised to change how we all invest.”
The podcast is produced by Mark Egan, who previously worked at Bloomberg News and Reuters.
Mathisen anchored two of CNBC’s longest-running franchises, “Power Lunch” and “Closing Bell,” as well as “Nightly Business Report,” for which he won a SABEW for Best Radio/TV Show in 2014. Before that, he served as managing editor of business news.
