
Dina Fine Maron has been hired as health and medicine editor at 1440.
In her role at 1440, Maron will be responsible for building out the health and medicine topic across the 1440 platform. This will include the launch of a new vertical-specific newsletter, plus building out the findings and resources.
Maron has been on staff at National Geographic and Scientific American and reported on health, science, and wildlife crime from locations including Madagascar, Brazil, South Africa, Switzerland, and Mexico. Her work has appeared in publications including The New Yo
She has been asked to speak about her reporting and science communication strategies at the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine and at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, among other honors.
Articles Maron penned for Newsweek received national journalism awards from the National Alliance on Mental Illness and the National Association of Drug Court Professionals. She’s written and hosted successful social media videos and podcasts for NASA, Scientific American and others.
Maron attended Brandeis University for her undergraduate education and has a Masters in Public Health from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
