MarketWatch.com has hired Venessa Wong as a personal finance reporter.
Wong previously worked at BuzzFeed for eight years, most recently as a senior reporter. She was also deputy business and tech editor at BuzzFeed and wrote about money and how it’s spent.
She had been at BuzzFeed since May 2015 and initially covered food, beverage, and restaurant companies.
Before BuzzFeed, Wong worked at Bloomberg Businessweek as an associate editor. She also spent four years in China.
Wong has a bachelor’s degree from Middlebury College and a master’s degree from Columbia University.
