He has been covering financial crime and scams since July 2021.
Alpert previously worked as a media reporter for seven years, following three years as a correspondent in Moscow at The Wall Street Journal. During his time at The Journal, he was also part of a team that won a Pulitzer Prize. Prior to The Journal, Alpert was an editor at The Moscow Times. He has also worked at New York Daily News, New York Post and the Associated Press.
Alpert is a graduate of Bard College.
