Sydney Maki is now a full-time editor on the markets team at Bloomberg News.
She has been reporting and editing stories about currencies and bonds from emerging markets and G-10 countries for the past two years.
Maki has been covering Latin American emerging markets and has been with Bloomberg since 2019, first as an intern and then as a rotational reporter. She reported on the stock market, New York real estate, with an emphasis on Manhattan’s residential market, as well as G-10 currencies and rates.
She holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree from Arizona State University, where she was executive editor of The State Press.
