Tampa Bay Times political editor Emily Mahoney is moving to the energy and climate beat at the newspaper.
She has been political editor for the past two years. Before that, Mahoney was a real estate reporter at the Times. Before that, she was a Florida government reporter.
She was also a Cronkite data fellow at the Houston Chronicle and has interned at the Miami Herald Media Company, the Arizona Center for Investigative Reporting, and the Arizona Republic. She was also a reporting fellow at News21.
Mahoney graduated from Arizona State University.
