Louisville Business First has hired Stephen Schmidt to cover the technology, bourbon and finance/banking beats.
Schmidt has been a freelance writer in Louisville for the past two years. He previously was a writer for St. Mary’s University of Minnesota.
He also worked as a science writer at the University of Missouri, a multimedia specialist at Arvest Bank and an interactive web producer for WABC-TV in New York. He was also a reporter for the Northwest Arkansas Times.
Schmidt holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Kansas and a master’s degree from Quinnipiac University.
