Elizabeth DeOrnellas has joined Lancaster Online in Pennsylvania as an environment and agriculture reporter.
Recently, DeOrnellas worked with Billy Penn and Temple University’s Logan Center for Urban Investigative Reporting on a year-long project to explore education disparities in Philadelphia.
She worked as a journalist adviser and part of the English faculty at The Hill School in Pennsylvania. She also worked as a curriculum writer at Teach for America.
DeOrnellas has a B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she worked at the student paper. She is pursuing a master’s degree from Temple University, where she will graduate in July.
