Law360 reporter Brent Godwin was among the layoffs on Thursday.
He started in June 2022 and previously worked at the Jacksonville Business Journal as a real estate reporter covering commercial real estate and residential real estate throughout metro Jacksonville.
Godwin previously spent the better part of a decade at the Birmingham Business Journal. He started there as the summer intern, then was research director, later promoted to online editor. He was then the commercial real estate reporter and then real estate editor.
He was also director of email operations at Cahaba Media Group.
Godwin is an Auburn University graduate.
