Nicole LaPorte has left her position as senior writer at Fast Company to join The Ankler, the Substack newsletter about the entertainment industry.
LaPorte is a former reporter for Variety, where she covered the Hollywood movie industry for several years. She also wrote “The Rules of Hollywood” column for the Los Angeles Times Magazine and has written for The New Yorker, the New York Times, the New York Observer, W Magazine, and the Daily Beast.
She is the author of “Guilty Admissions” and “The Men Who Would Be King.”
Her move follows Peter Kiefer, who recently joined The Ankler as a contributing editor, and how Janice Min became co-owner and CEO of Ankler Media last December, partnering with Richard Rushfield.
