The Columbus Dispatch has named Ben Lanka as its business editor.
He has been editor of the Newark Advocate and The Marion Star, both Gannett papers.
Before that, he was the enterprise editor for 10 Gannett newspapers across Ohio and City Hall reporter for The Journal Gazette in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Lanka holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Dayton and a master’s degree from Northwestern University.
