Sylvan Lane has been named business editor at The Hill.
He will lead The Hill’s coverage of finance, economics, business, lobbying and technology with a focus on the connections between politics and policy. He previously had been the assistant business and finance editor.
Lane previously led The Hill’s coverage of the U.S. economy and financial sector, focusing on the recovery from the coronavirus recession, financial regulation and the Federal Reserve. He has been at The Hill since December 2015.
He holds a bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University.
