Jake Lahut, a politics reporter at Insider, is leaving to becoming a campaign reporter for The Daily Beast.
In the past, he worked as a political reporter at The Keene Sentinel in New Hampshire.
Previously, Lahut was a breaking news reporter at The Daily Gazette. He also held the posts of breaking news intern and White House intern at Politico. Before that, he was with The Wesleyan Argus working as editor-in-chief.
Lahut also served as a metro intern at Times Union and held the post of research assistant at The New Yorker. Additionally, he has also worked as an opinion editor, translator and graduate teaching assistant.
Lahut holds a bachelor’s degree from Wesleyan University.
